Why Discord
Your alerts always show in the extension, by clicking its icon. Discord adds the phone and sharing. A freelancer gets their prospecting alerts on their mobile, between two meetings, without Chrome in front of them. A community of freelancers, a collective, a small team share a channel where everyone sees vendor requests and open roles go by — and nobody needs a paid Slack workspace for that.
Prosko sends alerts through a webhook — an address Discord gives you that allows posting messages to one specific channel. No bot to invite, no permissions to grant to an app, no Prosko account, no server in between: your browser talks directly to Discord.
Create the webhook in Discord
- In Discord, open the server and the channel that will receive the alerts. Click the cog next to its name — Edit Channel.
- Open the Integrations tab, then Webhooks.
- Click New Webhook. Discord creates one with a random name: rename it "Prosko", and check the selected channel is the right one.
- Click Copy Webhook URL. It starts with
https://discord.com/api/webhooks/.
You need the Manage Webhooks permission on the channel — on your own server you have it; on a shared server, ask an admin. The channel can be private: the webhook writes where it was created, whatever the channel's visibility.
Paste it into Prosko
- Click the Prosko icon in Chrome, then open the settings.
- Open Where to alert me, then In Slack or Discord.
- Paste the address into Destination address. Prosko works out on its own that it is Discord.
- Tick Send my alerts there, then click Send a test message. The message reaches the channel a few seconds later.
On first install, the setup assistant asks the same question — "Where do you want to be alerted?" — and takes the address in the same place. The address is stored in your browser only: it is never included in a backup of your settings, because it grants the right to write to your channel.
What the message looks like
On Discord, each alert is a card (an "embed") with a blue colour bar down the side. The finds from one sweep are grouped into a single message, up to ten cards.

The card's title is the person's name, clickable. The ✅ line is the AI assistant's verdict, in its own words. The Rule and Terms fields say why the alert exists; the Link field repeats the post's address in plain text, copyable with a long press on mobile. If the assistant could not re-read the post, the card says so and its bar turns amber: a checked find and a raw one are told apart at a glance.
As a team or a community
One licence per person, one channel for all. Each person running the extension has their own licence and their own address; several addresses can point to the same channel. A collective of three freelancers, each with their own rules, feeds the same #requests, and every card carries the name of the rule that produced it.
One channel per use. #prospecting, #monitoring, #jobs: create one webhook per channel — a minute each — and give each member the address of the channel that concerns them.
React on the card, reply on LinkedIn. A ✅ reaction on the card to say "I've got this" keeps two people from answering the same post. The reply itself happens on LinkedIn, in your name.
What to know before you start
- Nothing is sent without you. Prosko sends only to the address you pasted, only alerts. It does not read your Discord, does not see your channels, and has no right beyond writing to the chosen channel — which is what a webhook allows, and nothing more.
- The address is a secret. Anyone holding it can write to your channel. Do not share it; if it leaks, delete the webhook in Discord and create a new one.
- Alerts wait for Discord, not the other way round. If Discord does not respond — an outage, a deleted webhook — alerts are kept in the extension, and a Resend pending alerts button ships them as soon as it is fixed. Nothing is lost silently.
- Discord or Slack, your choice. One installation sends to one address; Prosko recognises which of the two you use. Alerts remain visible in the extension either way, and can also show as desktop notifications.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to invite a bot to my server?
No. A webhook is not a bot: it is an address that allows writing to a channel, created from the channel's own settings. No app to authorise, no permissions to grant to a third party.
Can I send each rule to a different channel?
One installation sends to a single address, so a single channel. Every card does carry the name of its rule, though, which is enough to sort within a shared channel. If you really want separate channels, two members with different rules can each point to their own.
Does it work on a server where I am not an admin?
Yes, if you have the Manage Webhooks permission on the channel. Otherwise, ask an admin to create the webhook and pass you the address — privately, since it grants the right to write.
Do mobile notifications work?
Yes, like for any message in the channel: set the channel's notifications to "All Messages" in the Discord app, and every card alerts you on the phone.
Does Prosko have access to my Discord messages?
No. A webhook allows one thing only: posting to the channel it was created for. Prosko reads nothing, sees nothing else, and has no server that could do so in its place.
